My Learning Style

Learning Style Result

Reflection and application of learning style on academic studies

Based on the test result, it shows that my learning style is slightly focusing more on both auditory (35%) and visual (35%). During learning a skill, I listen properly what others say and try to understand accurately in one time. Try to avoid saying “what did you say just now?” “Sorry, can you repeat?” Since I am more focusing on auditory, I should improve my listening skill, which is listening and understanding what others say. Besides, I always listen to the music, especially those without lyrics such as jazz, heavy metal, etc. to relax. As a saxophonist, sometimes I will go to my high school to play saxophone during my free time. In conclusion, I concentrate when listening not only to the others but also things happening around. Now I would like to talk about how I learn by visual. According to the stats given, sometimes I prefer learning by observing incidents and things happening around. In my academic studies, I found that reading notes with full of images and graphics and words with different font size or style, including highlights, amazing and interesting. I love my tutors or lecturers using neat and attractive notes as teaching materials, not only full of information. Hence, I should improve my critical reading skills especially long, boring essays in order to adapt any types of learning styles well.
